Jack the old codger!

Now just how mean was that last night of how Jack treated Alex? What a man, wouldn't help him, so they could get out of there and maybe show Alex how to do his chains. Left him out there with an empty trailer in such bad weather. What's wrong with him? I think he needs to go home & set on his front porch...ALONE, because I doubt if he has any friends. My mom is 70 and she wanted to make sure I called him an Old Codger! LOL What a rude person. Wonder what Hugh would've done with a jerk like that? Sorry Alex had to deal with someone like him when Alex is such a good guy. Last year Rick gave us someone to gripe about, well now we have Jack the Old Codger!!

Not sure that was really what happened. Much of the show is "staged" for dramatic effect. It may be called a reality show, but as someone that has been there and done that, I can tell you that a lot of the situations are staged. For instance, Hugh is depicted as somewhat of an ass, but is he really? I hope not! I enjoy watching the show because it brings back memories of one of the best times of my life, and one of the best places I've lived. But I do get a little disgusted at some of the phony stuff! One of the characteristics and necessities of someone that lives in the Arctic, is that you help those in need, because it could be your turn the next time to need help. That's one of the reasons I loved living there so much.
